You went to the zoo
In a rented canoe
You heard the lion roar
And called him a whore
You lost your purse
Thought it couldn't get worse
The lion got out
And roamed about
You ran and you hid
But he knew what you did
He climbed up the tree
You screamed let me be
Out of there you flew
But he still has your shoe!

Hi, Thank you for entering a poem in the experimental poem contest.
I'm not sensing this as extremely experimental. Pretty simple rhyme scheme that I've certainly seen before. So there must be some very deep hidden metaphor that hasn't hit me yet.
I'll keep trying though.

There is...
Maybe I should have made it a little more clear but I just love poems with hidden meanings that can be taken more then one way!!! But it is as if you go out into the dating world... zoo... and you find someone then they cheat on you, but they still have your heart!!!
