"Social Ballet"
By Michael J Branch
Days just drift on by in this eternally twisting world,
A planet ruled by change, the fast track twists and curls,
ever wanting humans in a macho symphony,
So sit down my children to my epiphany,
We walk like catwalk models, the constant watching eye,
Chasing pale blue clouds in an often pale blue sky,
The dance to change our outlook, an simplify the world,
The dance for sheer perfection to satisfy the girls,
So tell me now my friend will it ever be enough,
Will we ever find the fairway, in amongst the rough?
We twist and spin for fashion, how ironic yes we are,
But will our spirits soar or ever get that far?
For life is not a petting zoo, baring signs of discontent,
To our evolutionary ballet dance, I say, just get bent!
Pave your own road, and victory is yours.
Please tell me what you think

Stunning imagery and good verbiage in this piece. The rhyme scheme is subtle and this piece flows effortlessly. Pave your own road.....plant your own garden, strong words of wisdom to tie up this write perfectly. I hope you're well.
Thanks for sharing.
