You stumble upon truths within me
by reading me like pages bound in books

fears once shrouded in ebony
are brought to light in ivory eyes

fear you use to unsheath your sword
and cut me down like blades of grass

as I lay there broken
you reach inside my head

and open the locked door in the sunless hallway
to awaken the voices inside my head
