It's not that black and white.
It's just black alright.
But you will never understand
because you can never possibly stand
in my shoes.
Sure you have dated a black girl
but you can never truly be part of my world.
I'm sorry but it's true
you see me and you just can't work
and it hurts. It hurts
to know that I have to work twice as hard
just to make it nearly as far as you do.
And I know it's not your fault,
that's why you will always be in my heart.
A friendship is the only thing that we can maintain,
But dating, I'm not sure I can handle that again.
I wish I could've been more formal & explain it better.
But I'm sorry, I'm only strong enough to write this letter.
But please, whatever you do just remember,
It's not that black and white.
It's just black alright.

But I'm sorry, I'm only strong enough to write this letter."
