Clark Gable

”I'm just a lucky slob from Ohio
who happened to be in the right place
at the right time. “ Clark Gable.

A man to be admired,
Someone to be adored
For his strength and determination.

Strong man of gender
Mother dies young
Father abandons his only son

Three wives a teacher
As a man you become
Striving forward in all you can

Finally it happens
The Bird of Paradise flies
As success takes over

Golden globe awarded
Fourth wife of love
Finally a child to carry on

Then death approaches
And takes you away
Robbed of your only wish
To see the birth of your boy

A name to be remembered
A dream of love and hope
William Clark Gable

The ladies admire
And the men fill of envy
But I know the truth

You were just trying to be happy

Author notes

the bird of paradise was a theatre movie that gable first worked for and was the first time he fell in love with the theatre.

Love this. It's nice to see an admirable poem showcaseing great men in history. Love everything about it, but these words are quite wonderful:

    Golden globe awarded
    Fourth wife of love
Finally a child to carry on

    I can relate. Bob
