The wind blows strong,
I can feel it here.
It tells me all about,
the danger that draws near.
Whispering, telling me things.
Frankly, I just don't care.
Now I'm leaving my worries behind,
Feel the freedom of body and mind.
I am starting my journey,
I'm drifting away,
With the wind, I go.
The storm draws near,
I'm fleeing out of fear.
The struggle I just can't bear,
Tears at my soul here.
After the storm there's a calm,
Through the clouds shines a ray of sun.
I am carried from all of my harm.
There is someone for whom to hold on.
And so I fight the storm,
Going against the wind.
Only because she was born,
And didn't give in.

Wow - I like this one - the flow, the rhythm, the rhyme, and the vivid visuals one sees as they read the lines. Much deeper than what is evident - good metaphor for other things I think. Keep fighting the storm, keep writing - think this one is great.
