~Translation~

Oh Lord, with your ‘blessings
even the dumb can speak
and the lame can jump over a mountain
My obeisance to you,
Lord of the Universe

Let the Seven Oceans be the ink,
Let the branch the lordliest of Heaven's trees, serve as pen,
Let the Earth offer herself as parchment,
Even then your glory can not be portrayed.

~~~*~~~
O God, I know you can cast miracles
The world is on the verge of catastrophe
I bow my head and beg with my folded hands;
Please bless us with worldly wisdom
Grant us knowledge to respect humanity
Eradicate religious differences
Let peace prevail
Bring awareness unto the population control
May all the children have equal opportunities
Deracinate corruption from its roots
Confer us to be loyal towards our duties
Bequest treasure of insight
and enlighten us, so we could value;
Your creation and gift of life.
Amen
Gayatri Mantra
Om BhuBhurva Swaha
Tatsaviturvarenyam
Bhargo Devasya Deemahi
Dhiyo yo na prachodhyath
Earth, Sky, Heaven
we meditate on the
splendor of the Divine Sun
May he inspire our minds
Author notes
First two stanzas are in Sanskrit in the praise of God and third and fourth are the translation.
These shaloks were on the first page of my Sanskrit book. I took Sanskrit as an optional subject.
The rest is my prayer, simple but from heart.
The last stanza is the Gayatri Mantra - most revered mantra in Hinduism.
      I don't deserve the merits for the translation, nor for the video - I found both of them on the internet ...
    "Earth, Sky, Heaven
    Desperately needed right now. I'm finding that commotion is bubbling up around me and knocking off my sense of balance, which has made it impossible to concentrate on putting two words together. It does not help that I am terribly uninspired lately, the rat race has me caught in a king and should I stop now... I think my tail wil be kicked clean off
    s and best wishes always ~Genie~
