Arielle D. Came back last night
Her arms wrapped up in gauze
They took away her clothes and shoes
Stuck her in a hospital gown
Another girl another trouble
Another story filled with struggle
This one overdosed on Tylenol
Got her stomach flushed out with charcoal
This one sliced up her arms
Is stitched back together like Frankenstein’s monster
I hear voices and lose control
We all fight away the raw pain and tears
That’s permeating the atmosphere around here
Each of us battles away our own personal hells
All at the same time
In the same few rooms
Another girl, another trouble
Another story filled with struggle
Lily M is freaking out
Tried to punch another kid in the face
Sarah S is crying in her room
Alyssa T is carving up her arms
With a piece she broke off
From the towel dispenser
I’m trying to stay calm,
But the voices are so loud
And the chaos around me is driving me to panic
Another girl, another trouble
Another story filled with struggle
but we’re all stuck here now
Trying to build ourselves back up
Living together on this locked psych ward

Over all this was a good piece, I would have liked to get more caught up in the emotions of it all, but maybe the monotone narrator was there for a reason.....thanks for entering =)

Well, this is definetly what the pshycward is like... I think this was straight-forward, and you could've used more imagery... The repetetiveness added something to it, which is good... Thank you for entering my contest and good luck.
