She was painting the world
With her intoxicated eyes.
Making everything as it should be,
At least to her that is.
Pain seeped from open veins
As she heard the whispered words
Creep through the silence.
Inside she was screaming,
But she never really spoke a word.
Lies were always as pretty
As the rope you tied around her neck.
She promised she would get better with time.
But not even you could save her.
Her dreams faded away with every
Hit and pill she took.
And she as always too stoned to know
The difference between love and pain.
Razor blades hung from her neck
As tears swelled in her eyes.
Though she swore she loved you,
She loved the downfall even more.
Girls are always dreaming of their white knight.
But those dreams never come true.
And the only thing close to perfection
Was sleeping in his arms.
Maybe none of this makes sense,
Rambles very rarely ever do.
But somewhere in my mind I am being clear.
If only you could understand,
Then maybe you would turn away,
Like you should.
Jaded hearts take years to fix,
So I hope you can stay awhile.
Loss is just another word that tumbles through my mind.
Heartbreak is just another excuse to pick up another blade.
But out of everything I have ever over come,
Not one of them makes sense.
I just wish the world could go away sometimes.
