Time Is Important

"Have your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour.  Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute.  Now THAT'S relativity!" ~ Albert Einstein

Why does time have to fly
When you are having fun,
Yet seems to drag on
When you are having none?

Life never seems fair
Until you come out ahead,
But becomes pointless
When you're suddenly dead.

So treasure your life
While preparing for death,
That you know what will happen
After your final breath.

Author notes

I know I'm prepared for death...are YOU? By the way, I just love the quote by Einstein. If you thought he was all brains and no humor, you have another thing coming!

I have always loved this quote!
It's great that someone took the challenge to write about it. I really enjoyed reading this poem. The contrast between the quite funny quote and your quite serious poem was very interesting.
Thank you for entering my contest and sharing this!
    Keep up the great work!
