Wes and Tiphanie had planned all year long,
for the perfect wedding, nothing could go wrong.
All Tiphanie wanted was to make a special presentation.
She was sure, she found the perfect location.
Everything set so precise,
Sculptures carved in ice.
Flowers were even in full bloom
It matched perfectly to the Bride and Groom.
A myriad of guests began to gather,
where they’d sit, didn’t really matter.
Chelle, mother of the Bride,
glowed with overwhelming pride.
“The Wedding March” played from the band,
and the audience began to stand,
The Bride all in white,
was simply, a gorgeous sight.
Enough to make everyone sigh,
the iridescent glow of the sun setting sky,
As the Bride and Groom exchanged their words,
then released the turtle dove lovebirds.
Like an abstract painting, the beauty filled the air.
It was their love, we were there to share.
Pulsing hearts as they begin to kiss.
Surely, this is the part you don’t want to miss.
Every little molecule was in place,
To make this wedding God’s sweet grace.
Now, the Bride and Groom have become one.
Filled with love, their lives have just begun.
I remember the day we celebrated that love.
It was simply a day blessed from above.

awwwww thats so cute! im so happy that you can see things from this P.O.V.! i know a lot of mothers are unhappy with their daughters choice of a life partner lol your daughter is lucky to have you! what a great poem, it was so sweet. the rhyming was good, but the meter was a LITTLE off. not much. no biggie, because the words take your mind off of the meter and into the wedding!
good job! good luck in the contest!
