Lightning
Instantaneous and Unpredictable
Flashing and Illuminating
Utterly uncontrollable
Reveling the hidden
Showing the hiding
Things that were forbidden
We are now sighting
Like a brilliant thought
It is gone in a flash
Like a battle fought
Soon it is in the past
Our lives are like a beautiful flash of lightning
One spectacular instant
And then it is just a twinkling
But if we try
We can leave an impact
Seen in every eye
No longer a fleck in the spectrum
But a magnificent flash
Followed by the never-ending drum
