sleep now in your safe dreams
for soon will come the day
We will meet as Daughter Queen.
Fill your soul with joy and love
and all you can glean from here
so later I can push you over the top
and share a rule of fear.

No need for you to cry,
there are many years of care ahead
before, of this world, you die.
Eyes once blue will turn to black
and heart to frozen ice,
Elven lovers you will cast aside
till another will entice.
Then back to Earth you will fly
to mate with your new King
as I did once long ago
and into the world bring
Sweet human child, hush,
enjoy this time so mild.
I will again in twelve years
to reclaim my sweet child.

This reads as if it should be the beginning to a book. You should write it (unless it's one you've already read which inspired this). Me likes the fantasy stuff.

we see those moments within someone's life that we love
where we want to protect them from what's ahead...
and yet we can't because they must forge on their own paths within life itself. still it doesn't make it easy when they do.
you have me thinking on this!
