Best of The Best (contest poem)

Gota ca chum all
But all I want is the best
The strongest I can find

I have Drowzee,
Abra, Kadabra,
And Dark Kadabra

I have a haunter,
Gastly, and Jynx
All the cards to win to me

But the strongest I have
The big dog in my deck
Is Mewtwo with so much power

The card I love to use
With his Psyburn at my command
And his energy Absorption

Mewtwo is my strongest card
To find the best is my goal
My team unbeatable

    Thank GOD for Unbridled1's comment, or this one would forever have remained a mystery to me! And after reading it, I went back then, and re-read the poem, and I smiled SO BIG with that second reading! (It made all the difference in the world!) I'm afraid I'm not at all familiar with Pokemon, so you'll have to introduce me to him/it/them; whichever category it falls into! lol Once I understood the poem, I could really appreciate how clever this write was! A fabulous job, here, Robin! Really, really cute!

    So, my daughter is a pokemon head and therefore i knew what this was about...at least as far as referencing the pokemon cards and the game. Mewtwo is her favorite too! She takes those darn cards with her everywhere she goes...she and her pokemon are inseparable...it's like a flippin' obsession! lol

    not sure what the heck you are talking about with the first line though:

    "Goat ca chum all..."

    The only thing that came to mind after reading was the Pokemon catch phrase...Gotta catch 'em all...but other than that...you have me clueless here! lol.

    Darn it...now i cannot get that silly pokemon theme song out of my head! lol...Thanks a lot Robin!(and yes, that is sarcasm...lol)

    Well, actually I believe this poem is about Pokemon. A puerile topic, yes; but no more than those of Shonen Knife.

    I'm not quite sure what you were thinking when you wrote this, but more power to you.
