**This poem follows the melody of the original "Amazing Grace"**
Amazing Grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch, like me....
I once was lost, but now... am found, twas blind-but now, I see...
Twas Grace that taught my heart to love again...
Twas grace that brought me here out of the dark....
..and was grace that save me from... my sin.... and certain death
Oh Lord... I WORSHIP YOU..!!!
Author notes
This was originally born several years ago, purely from forgetting the remaining lyrics...when I realized that my ad libbed ones reflected my own life, trials and testimony.
I have never shared this with anyone except my daughter(in song), though my husband may have overheard it once or twice.
Please tell me what you think

This is interesting. I also have a habit
of rewriting songs when I can't remember
their proper lyrics. It can be very fun
and interesting when you see your end
results. I also love this song!
Great work here and thanks for sharing
this one. Keep up the wonderful work here!

Love this hymn when singing it in church or listening to someone else sing it a funerals or other events. Interesting the spin you had put on this by adding your words - very creative and they fit in just right.

This was cleverly written. I'm not a religious person but I can relate to this write. Have you tried any more poetry to other songs?
