They call just from behind the veil whispering words of love,
Colorless caricatures of what they used to be,
Letting go they whisper as if from another world
“We are not as far away as you may think”
A moment suspended in time, curiously whispering.
I fly backwards ready to collide with fate and destiny.
As my life flashes, rewinds, fast forwards, and slows down.
If only for a moment in this cruel and complex life,
I am proud of the man you have become.
A slow moment that lasts unhurriedly and forever,
I watch you fight to save your friends,
and realize meeting you was my greatest accomplishment.
Your father’s reflection is just over my shoulder.
He watches and he smiles, and he is proud.
Just behind the veil we whisper and we wait.
We whisper from one complex world to another
Waiting
On you.

wow that was great ! He was a good man and harry wasted so much time hating him for what he didn't do but had so little time to love him when he found out the truth. you did a nice job writing this from his POV BOL!

This is such an amazing poem that was really sad in such a beautiful way I have hardly seen before. This has to be one of the best HP poems I have ever read, I really like that this is from Sirius' POV, which is different from most others I have read.
Thank you for sharing!
Keep up the excellent work!

Very good. Totally reflects Sirius from behind the veil (as the title suggests, duh!) Good luck.
