As society deconstructed
our magical wonderland
doing away
with our alice
and
the little white
hare
you and me
were left
exposed to the
naked world
ruled by plague
and
empty disortion
the grit in our
eyes
was like posion to
our hearts
lacing our minds
with
thoughts that fly
and
break apart
in the wind
falling into
a magical illusion
of neverending
love, lust & death
for this is
us
our own
Apocalypse
Author notes

I liked the last lines. I have always entertained the thought that someone can have an apocalypse of epic proportions while the rest of the world remains oblivious.
"empty disortion" was a good description, very strong. Thanks for entering. -
