Looking up at the sky in awe and wonder,
as the ground shakes from the crackling thunder.
Rain starts to fall from the stars in the sky,
and hits the girl while she sits and cries.
The rain hits her face blending with tears,
that were caused by a memory, striking her with fear.
It was caused by a comment that a friend had said,
leaving her shaken, and wishing to be dead.
This friend was mean and thought nothing of it,
until he heard at school, that she said "I quit!".
He fell to his knees and dropped his head,
remembering the words, that he would always dread.
Who could have thought that it would turn out so bad,
those words that he spoke, "how can you not forget the things we never had?".
