I am looking for someone to help me find myself.
Someone to share the little things.
Someone with some of the same interests I have,
Who appreciates the beauty in nature.
I am looking for someone to help me be strong.
Someone to cheer me up.
Someone who stands equal to me,
Not acting superior, or inferior.
I am looking for someone to give me more romance.
Someone to send me flowers on my birthday.
Someone to send me flowers just because,
They thought of me today.
I am looking for someone to protect me.
Someone to fight if I am hurt.
Someone to hold me when I am scared,
Even if it's for something silly.
I am looking for someone who isn't afraid.
Someone who'll tell me if I'm wrong.
Someone who know's I'll still love them just the same,
For pointing out an idea's flaw.
I am looking for someone to be my best friend.
Someone to share fun and the good times.
Someone to help me through bad times,
And to love me as much as I love them.
I am looking for someone I can trust.
Someone who would never dream of hurting me.
Someone who I can confide in,
Knowing they would never think of betraying me.

This poem flowed really well throughout,and then adding this question at the end "Could it be you?" makes it hard to resist reading it again.. for me at least. Really nicely written. I hope you find that 'someone'. -

Such a poignant poem. What man could read these words and not be touched ? There are so many pleasing images - flowers just because you're thought of rather than a special occasion; holding you when you're scared of nothing; the "flaw" image too. I really think you deserve the best soulmate ever. camus
