Rain

Rain.
Crashing down upon this beautiful earth
Washing away the sins of our humanity
Leaving all to start anew.

Rain.
Down it fell upon your once close hearts
Dampening the trust you had in each other
Leaving you divided

Let the rain wash over you
As it washed over the earth
Let it wash away your sorrows
Let your souls be cleansed
And then all will begin afresh
From the damp earth a shoot will grow
And blossom into the prettiest flower
From the bottom of your flooded hearts
The shoot of love will spring
And once more will you both be joined
If only you dare to try again

What is washed away by the flood
Grows back stronger than before
If only you dare to try again

Into each life some rain must fall
Every sky has its dark clouds
Which shields the sun from shining down
But once the storm has passed
The sun will shine brighter than ever
If only you dare to try again

Rain.
Trickling down the window pane
Glistening in the new found sun
Leaving all to dry

Rain.
The blessing which falls upon this earth
Bringing new life with every droplet
Leaving all to begin once more
