Weary Child

Missing image

Come take my hand weary child of mine,

let me pull you from the mud and mire,

fear not what earthly life has in store,

for I alone shall be your desire.

I'll wipe away your heartache and pain,

as I plant your feet on solid ground,

I will replace your sadness with joy,

and I shall give you a mind that is sound.

Straighten the narrow path before you,

removing obstacles from your way,

I'll walk in the darkness beside you,

into the light of a brand new day.

So take my hand weary child of mine,

and let your life thus begin anew,

for there's nothing more precious to me,

than to spend eternity with you.

    I especially love this stanza:
"So take my hand weary child of mine,

and let your life thus begin anew,

for there's nothing more precious to me,

than to spend eternity with you."

Powerful! Congratulations on your silver trophy win!

    Not alone!

Many thousands of ways to express an encouraging thought. Such spiritual moments are needed and uplifting in our days. You make these moments clear and inspire hope.
Sometimes we are a bit 'shaky', to be planted on "solid ground" is precisely what sustains us. I always learn from your spiritual writes and seek them out. Thanks Jadon

Jadon... if only I were as good at expressing myself as you... I always want to say more yet don't seem to know how to express myself like you do in your Authors comments where I learn the most... Thank you is not enough to express my thanks for the time you take to make my days brighter by reading and leaving meaning words to ponder! Thanks again my dear friend!

      Blessings to you and yours!

      Huggles,

      Frogz~

    Beautiful

I wish I still felt like this. Although my faith is strong I feel like a lost soul at the moment. However you write beautifully and I always love reading your poems.

Jan, we always feel like that at some point in time or another. I know you to be a strong woman of means with a good head on your shoulders.... this too will pass my friend! I'll keep you in my prayers.... You are not lost, you are in a lull... this will pass.... just got over one myself... we are after all only human!

    An Easy and Uplifting Write...

...most importantly, it's scriptural, as best as I can tell. Awesome work, young lady!
