I'm a child in the shadows,
Another face in the crowd,
If I want to be noticed,
I have shout loud.
I talk and no ones listening,
I cry and no one hears,
I laugh and no ones laughing,
I have no loyal peers.
So here I'm all alone,
Alone with a notebook and pen.
Why does nobody care?
Do people not think I'm important?
I write out my tears on paper,
My heart tangled in every word,
If shouting doesn't work,
Though my poems I will be heard.
Poetry,
The language of hearts,
Its the communication of the soul,
Its the most beautiful art.
And through it I will be heard.
