hovering steady

drink of nature’s sweet nectar

bright tasty blossom

 

 

wings swiftly flutter

tapping out the drumming beat

gentle hummingbird

    I love hummingbirds

    I do glass etchings of mirrors of hummingbirds that you put in your windows for the sun to shine through they are so pretty in the morning light

    I do love Haiku's and this one fits so wonderfully to the picture you have. Even without the picture I would know what you were describing. Great imagery and flow. Thanks for the read.

    This is so so beautiful.....

    i have never read haiku poetry until recently when I was invited to compete in a contest called the america's next top poet and the challenges are so so hard. I dont understand the patterns but this piece is so breath taking and beautiful>
