An ancient tattered brown bear with missing fur
The many dried tears of my childhood stained you
Yet never a complaint from you
Loving arms always opened wide
Waiting for me in my misery
Sharing my heartaches and pain
How many days through my life
has your presence comforted me
I cannot even begin to count them
Because of you I never fear,
always there to turn to,
my sweet teddy bear
