sadness in the darkness

She’s there waiting,
Waiting In the darkness,
Counting the seconds that he’ll find her. A squeaky noise echoes.
She starts trembling. His metal fist grabs her neck.
She tries to yell; it’s useless, he picks her up; they’re face to face.
Her exhausted watery eyes look straight into his brown eyes
Anger flows through his veins.
He throws her on top of the table.
Her eyes looking down at her two babies, innocent eyes peeking out of the filthy bed,
Ducking their heads on the cold floor,
Tears wash the chocolate on their cheeks.
Still, they watch how their mother yells at him to stop.
She can’t stand having to show her children
How the human rock tortures
And uses her as a punching bag.
The horror is over, he left saying,
“Pinches viejas de todo lloran!!”
Mom says that it’ll be the last time they hide under the bed and have to experience such a violent scene,
The thousandth time she says that,
Then it all happens again. She tries to escape out of his arms, she yells at her babies to run out of the place they call their home.
He hits her, her head hits the wall, and he runs to get the two 2 years olds by the back of their shirts.
He threatens that if they ever try to leave, he’ll find them and kill them.
The scene continues,
The children watch silently under their bed.
Pointy cold sharp blade now deep in the children’s mother,
Red waterfalls splash on the ground,
The babies watch the human rock get close to them, grin on his face, bloody knife.
Deep holes are now in the two year olds bodies,
Children and mother, killed by a human rock,
Whose anger flowed through his veins.
Children’s fears of getting killed came true.
But now they don’t have to hide from the man
Who gave them their lives, and who thought that snatching the life out of them was his right
Two little angels that didn’t have the chance to play, or to even grow to become men to defend their scared exhausted mother who was hit every afternoon at their very presence.
