Imagination

Missing image

Oh the imagination,
what a wondrous gift,
being able to close our eyes,
and allow our minds to drift.

Taking us to places,
beyond this worlds confines.
Soaring to uncharted horizons,
where there are no boundary lines.

Up through amazing colours,
eyes have never conceived before.
Invigorating all the senses,
leaving one hungering for more.

Opening up new possibilities,
that this life is not the end.
That we have only barely touched,
what there is to comprehend.

 

Fly with me into new lands,

where restrictions do not exist.

The feelings of pure freedom,

are too compelling to be missed.

 

Allow your minds to open,

and see what imagination can do.

It can break chains of repression,

and show new worlds to you.

    Breaking the mold of our own confinement! Easier said than done! At times we think we can break free, sounds reat but something our little voice inside says stay grounded to the familiar. Sad when you think about it! Lovely poem, good luck in your contest. ~Sie
