And
gasp
with grass-entwined fingertips,
dewy beneath Vincent's muse,
singing hymnals of Light,
of Selves becoming Self, and
amorous awe.
A quivered exhale blows nightly dust upward,
and bodies lie licked
by moon's tongue.
And
sigh
as starlight falls
to moistened cheek
and pale thighs, radiating,
illuminate the sky.

"Starry night" is one of my favourite paintings by Van Gogh - I've used it as theme for one of my earlier poems too). I liked the two different views this poems allows the reader - almost like two halves that compliment each other to form one whole. A wonderful soft and sensual poem with some amazing visuals. I loved the idea of "licked by the moon's tongue" and of course the light that radiates off thighs. Lovely, lovely poetry.
Thank you so much for this entry.
