...And I was satisfied.

Rich red yellow sunset,
Retires from scorching our leaves,
The ones we moved all day,
The ones over by the chestnut tree.
That crunch under the weight,
Of my imaginary kid neighbor.
Hair glistening red in the sun,
Beams reflected off pearly teeth.
As he jumps in our work,
And sends the leaves floating off in all directions.
But we didn’t care, we laughed.
We felt warm lake air on our cheeks.
Far from filth and city soot,
And by the sweetness of our breaths,
We ate the air and were sustained!
We sat on rooftops,
And listened to the cities prayers,
And wondered what is love.
