Ballad of Broken bridge.

There was love and a lulluby
A blatent promise to fate defy
There were two lives that fit together
But they were not ready for stormy weather.

and the rain beat down
and floodwaters rose
we give in and drown
watch life as it goes

There was a happy family
there were children and pets
A living dream of eternity
that left only many regrets

and the rain beat down
and the floodwaters rose
we give in and drown
watch life as it goes

Say its a winding and trecherous one
the path we walked upon
For the storms kept coming
and a torrent was always drumming
but the remaining lover knows
the rain beat down
the floodwaters rose
we gave in but never die
we cry and life flows.

You may think you can't, but I think you can.

There was love and a lulluby
A blatent promise to fate defy
There were two lives that fit together
But they were not ready for stormy weather.

Wonderful beginning. I like that a lot. It flows great and just makes the reader want to know so much more about it. Thank you.

Great as always. I really like the tightly wound metaphor; you don't go veering off into several different directions with the allegory.
Songs are silly. I hate writing lyrics - too much repetition. Anyway, this is pretty good for a lyrical sheet.
    Excellent, as always.
