One year on

A whole year now since it's past,
This scorn which breaks the heart so fast,
Which brings to memory darkest times,
That aids me through this life of mine.

Now so far on and I still dont feel,
A wound I know will never heal,
A hole forever in my heart,
That will always tear my world appart.

And there is nothing you could ever say,
To make this burden go away,
So I will take this rapture for what I once loved true,
To forever ensure that I'm protecting you.
