Since our wedding night, I and my husband Leon were in bliss. The honeymoon passed so fast, it was like a dream with Leon's tenderness overwhelming me. Leon wouldn’t spare anything to make me happy. Sardinia where we spent our honeymoon is a paradise and we pledged to go there every year to renew our vows.
In turn I adore Leon. He is the love of my life and I am so lucky to have met him.
I sat comfortably on my seat in Leon's jet where I met him for the first time. I was an air hostess and there was a vacant post on Leon's jet, and I applied and went for the interview at his company. There he was such a chic gorgeous hunk, tall, athletic, with long brown hair, a beard and moustache, and the tenderest and most attractive emerald eyes my eyes ever laid on.
Leon was gentlemanly and very business like, but I could feel his liking.
He declared to me that his office will inform me of his decision at the end of the week.
I leave while praying in my heart to land on that job as it paid very well and I need a good job at the present time. I was going through hard times. Also working for Leon ferrerro was an honor and prestige. The guy was also terribly good-looking and so sexy. What a guy! I tried all along the interview to look at his fingers to see if there was a wedding band, but there was nothing. That was not a proof however whether a man is married or not. Wow, what a guy, I thought.
A week elapsed and I started to get really worried that I wouldn’t get the job, and I started sulking into depression. Maria my friend paid me a surprise visit and me really feeling down, so she insisted on taking me out for lunch, her treat, then we would go for a beauty parlor, relax with massage and then do facials, hair and makeup and all that could refresh us and give us some more fuel to resume hard work and boost our morale.
At the posh restaurant Maria chose, we entered. We could see heads turning. I guess we were gleaming and were so groomed after all the beauty rituals we went through and going shopping for a new suit and some makeup..
While ordering our lunch and having a great girly conversation I was telling Maria about Leon, and as I raised my eye to look in front of me, there he was, as handsome as ever in his super chic suit. Our eyes met and he smiled at me courteously. I stiffened in my seat from the surprise. Maria took a look at the cause of my surprise and she turned to me unbelievably. She said "don’t look at him".
I lowered my eyelashes to my butter plate and my hands were trembling when I tried to spread the butter on my bread roll.
Suddenly, the maitre D' approached carrying a bottle of Carbernet Sauvignon.
"we didn’t order wine" I said.
"Compliments of Mr. Leo Ferrerro"
I looked at him again and I nodded thank you.
With a smile he resumes his conversation with his party. I noticed a strikingly beautiful woman sitting on his side. I assumed that she was either his girlfriend or the wife as he dealt with her with much familiarity. She must be someone close.
"What a gorgeous creature that Leon is. He is a shrewd businessman and most importantly loaded" Maria said.
"I hope you get the job with him. The guy either has an elephant memory or he is into you" she added.
"Into me? Well, there is that beauty sitting beside him that appears to be either his girl or wife" I answered with disappointment.
Saying that I heard a voice near me saying,
"well Ms. Sabatini nice meeting you here. It was a great coincidence. I hope that in the future we will be seeing more of each other."
It was him and I would kill myself because I was sure he heard my last sentence.
What have I done!
I mumbled a few unclear words with a smile. He kissed my hand, and that of Maria, saying it was a pleasure meeting her. And off he leaves with his party that were waiting at the door, save for the beautiful creature who was sitting at his side.
