The Revenge

A sneaky dog lives down our lane.
He's driving everyone insane.
His owners think they've got him trained
and don't suspect he could be blamed,
for happenings in our neighbourhood.
They think he's sweet, they think he's good!
To see him with them you would say,
'That dog knows only to obey'.

But I have seen him late at night,
chasing every cat in sight.
Upturning bins and spreading litter.
He really is a monstrous critter!
His owner calls and off he goes,
an angel dog, his halo glows.

Revenge is sweet, revenge is mine,
For I have made a special sign;
I'll place it in his owners garden.
There'll be no doubt, there'll be no pardon;
although it may sound weird and freaky,
I'll tell the world that dog is sneaky!

    Good interpretation of the picture. It's true that some people think their pets can do no wrong, same with their chidren I suppose. My neighbour who has since moved, had an awful yappy dog that went berserk everytime my former dog went in the garden. I'm glad to see the back of it! Good luck in the contest, I like your poem.
