Summer's So'journ

The spirit of Summer treads carefully
among the gifts of season's end,
there paints the world in colours new
of gold and amber with a gentle hand.
Yesterdays lay scattered on the ground
like treasured memories of pleasant days
that promise to return to me
with the Spirit of Summer.

    Lovely

It's autumn there! I love the phrase: "Yesterdays lay scattered on the ground"...how beautiful! It's quite warm here these days as we march on toward the summer solstice. Big plans for the months ahead and many busy days lie before me. Can't wait to find more time to spend here. Enjoyed your poem...the first I've read in a long time. Congratulations on winning the bronze!
