Go ahead, tell me I'm resentful,
or that I deserve to die.
I wear my scars proudly,
because they are a constant reminder
that I made it through a rough time.
It might not have been hard
for you, or for them,
but for me?
It was difficult.
So until you have been through
what I've been through,
or felt the way I've felt?
Okay, tell me I'm useless
or that no one needs me.
Tell me that no one loves me,
or that you you wouldn't care if I died.
I don't actually need YOU,
to know these things myself.
But thank you for confirming my suspicions.
Go ahead, tell me I'm resentful,
or that I deserve to die.
I wear my scars proudly,
because I made it through this rough time,
and as hard as things get,
I'll make it through those times too.
As badly as you want to,
you'll never get rid of me.
I'm here for life.

That kinda inspired me. My scarz are stories of the rough timez ive been thro and now i look at um knowing i made it. great poem

I like the strong voice you have in this piece, I'd like to hear more about what exactly was so rough- I think if you could expand on that notion then the piece would sting even more.

This piece absolutely kicks ass. Keep up the awesome work.

oh wow... I love this piece! It's so true. Scars are what remind us of where we came from and what we have endured. Awesome... Btw, was this supposed to be a song? Because it sounds like it...
