I lived once
Remember those days?
Back when bikes were cool
So long ago, that was
When dropping the F-bomb
Meant that you were
Grounded for life
It was so long ago
When food was delivered
To your car at a drive through
Those waitresses were cute
Even if they were clumsy
And spilt on the chairs
Sometimes
It was always fun
When mum and dad
Would sit by my side
Watching television
In black and white
Without sound
And laugh
Hamburgers for a nickel?
You bet! Every tuesday
I would have wasted
A million dollars
On terrible food if
Only it was, like all else,
The same as it used to be.
