Over the Neighbors Fence, I proved was mine.

The wind blew
mighty bellows
and a tree fell
over the back fence.
A mighty old elm
as large round
as my minivan.

She came knocking,
an angry neighbor,
demanding payment
for my fence she said
was hers; until
I showed her my
reciepts for the fence.

Chain saws whined
for days cutting
up that old elm
when we were done
we sat before the
toasty fire in the
living room warm.

We enjoyed the
warmth of that old
elm all winter and
and we enjoyed the
lowered heating bill
even more, loving
that elm filled fireplace.

The fence is repaired,
but still won't stop
trees from invading
our neighbor's yard
if the wind blows,
so the one who may
someday will have to go.

What a toasty winter this will be.

This is a wonderful poem and relates to real life instances. So many time I find that unrealistic poems are too flashy. Great write and good luck!
