Sunset

Lights and colors
Unfurl and release
The unstained rays upon the earth

As the minutes (days) go by
Those colors beautify
Illuminating the illustrious sky

Numerous feelings intoxicate me
Whilst my eyes linger on the beauty
Radiance may only warm my heart

As the sun drops farther
Stars slowly become visible
Ending a wondrous adventure and beginning a new one

Pinks, reds, oranges and yellows flood my eyes
A smile begins on my face
A real one I haven't felt in a long while

The sun is slipping beyond the horizon
And the colors are fading
Bu I know within my heart
That those colors and smile will always be there
As I await the next beautiful sunset
