Softly she speaks
words of ancient wisdom;
imprints left in my Soul,
echoes that resonate in the depth
of my heart looking for answers.
A mentor, a teacher;
guru of truths, that she gathered in small pebbles,
on her journey -her quest to find her own way;
to grasp tightly the bonds of her blood and heritage;
the womb that nurtured and birthed her,
[yet she was ripped away like a weed that did not belong]
but like the dandelion , determined she planted her roots,
deep into the soil of the dust that was "home" to her.
She learned and she shared,
the laws of the Universe [sacred beliefs and traditions]
Natural and Spiritual Laws of Creation;
I learned by and through her,
Harmony and Balance she acquainted me with;
and mostly Respect, for all that exists,
to be clear and conscious of all that I think and all that I do.
Humbly I thank her-for she has given me a vision;
one that I will try to live up to,
and should I stumble or fall, I know
that I will hear her voice and feel her hands helping me back up.
