If I brought it up
In conversation
You might ask me,
“What do I mean
That the earth is round?
It cant be true
No ,never flat
No, not ever that!”
You may laugh in self-re-assurance
And speak of maps and charts
And tales of sorts
But are you convincing me, or yourself,
That the world doesn’t end in a shelf?

    End in a shelf? I dont get that part. I am guessing that the true meaning behind this story is an admonishment that people need to open their minds. Or maybe its about Christipher Columbus.
