Whoever said, "Being a survivor was a blessed thing to happen to a person", should be shot because It's obvious they have never been a survivor nor have any Idea what the hell they were talking about.

i agree with this completely -
Very straightforward opinion and one that some relate to easily. Not really in poem form, however, which is what this contest was looking for. You have a very good point and a very good take on things and I think you could give it some kind of rhythm and/or form and weave it into a beautiful poem if you wanted to.

Oh yes. It would be good to be innocent of the things survivors think.

Oh, so very very true. I'd far prefer not to know what it's like to have to be a survivor, but I'm stuck with that knowledge. Best of luck to you, both in the contest and your life!
