Do you remember that day? A Day where you woke up in a good mood. The sun was shining brightly with all its might, it was a nice cool breezy day with just the right amount of wind to fly a kite, yet not enough to mess up your hair?
Do you remember the day when you walked outside fully ready to meet your day head on only to receive a call telling you that you didn't have to come into work that day? You had the day to yourself and you could do whatever it is that you wanted.
Do you remember the day you got into your car to drive to nowhere in particular. Simply to go for a drive? To enjoy your day in solitude and silence and just drive to a spot by the river and wait for an epiphany of some sorts?
Do you remember the day upon arriving home your family was waiting for you eagerly to smother you in love and kisses and hugs just for the fact that they missed you that day while you were away.
Do you remember that night.. slowly closing your eyes and breathing in the scent of your lover? Just resting in love's embrace and holding each other close while you waited for sleep to overtake you?
Do you remember that night, when your dreams were pure and sweet and only served to remind you that you have a good life no matter the ups and downs that you may face in your daily journies.
Do you remember?
Please tell me what you think

I really like the message in this, it filled me with a huge case of the warm and fuzzies. I think if more people could remember what it felt like then it would help them to access those feelings now. We have all had times that sucked but in between somewhere there are always flashes of the wonderful, to see them and enjoy them for what they are and to ofcourse focus on them rather than the bad times is truely a gift and it is something you obviously possess, don't ever give in and let it go. You are truely blessed. A wonderful write, nicely done,

I like how you repeated, "Do you remember the day?" I do this a lot in my own poems, to help get the message across. Which I think you did here.

It is nice to take a moment to remember the good things that have come our way. In a way it is like counting our blessings. A nice change of pace considereing the way our world is today. Very nicely done!

I don't know that I'm in the state of mind to agree, but you definitely make a good case. Very well written. "Do you remember the day when you walked outside fully ready to meet your day head on only to receive a call telling you that you didn't have to come into work that day?" No, sorry, I don't remember that day. Regardless, I think this poem kinda cheered me up. Thanks.
