You ask 'why me?'
and I can't believe that you don't even know.
Some poet I am, I'm at a loss for words.
'I love you' just doesn't cut it, not even close.
I've never been good at happy, it's just not my thing.
But here I am smiling, I'm a grinning idiot all of a sudden, but I love it.
Because I love you
You say 'there must be something'
But no, there's nothing, because you're everything.
My best friend, my lover, my confidante, my drinking buddy, my road dog, my everything.
And I love you
I've never been big on love, always found it over-rated, but damn if I wasn't wrong this whole time.
Those lovey dovey, 'I love you more' couples always nauseated me a little, to tell the truth.
I never needed anybody, I loved my independence.
But I love you more
You tell me 'you don't even know'
Darling if you knew the half of it, how much you mean to me...
You're snow in April, Basque food, wind in my face, roadside waterfalls, licorice kisses.
You take me places, show me things, let me into your world...
It's a wonderful world, as the song says.
God, I love you. You don't even know.

awe i love this, this is good, but i think i'll just give up on love...pygmies? ok then hm. n e ways, its awesome how u say ur perspective on love changes after u meet that one person (i wonder who that is) its true in life, u think one thing and the next, ur thinking has changed on the whole topic. Love is a fickled friend (guess where i got that) it changes ur perspective, ur life, how you think, but i dont really understand it. maybe im too young but i just wanna know what i get into before i get into it, licorice kisses, i love that, its so cool kinda like how licorice is sweet but so are kisses, hehe, u should read my poem 'Aphrodite's prescription' i think i might read more of ur poems cuz u seem like u know what ur typing.

Well you have made me to think about the structure and the point of view you touched here in your very deep write here..this is just a wonderful expression to deal the subject in a manner which can make the readers just stunned..I love your treatment and the pace of the write..this is amazing indeed...

This is very strong and effective. In fact the whole feel of the poem is very good. I think we have all felt this way, never been one for lovey and dovey and then we meet someone and all of that changes.
