Look at the sun,
well go ahead stare at it.
I know they told you
staring at it too long
will make you go blind.
But what do they know?
Besides you can trust me,
would I lie?
So be different
what can it hurt?
Just open those eyes so wide
and glare till you can see
all the secrets and truths
people are trying to deny.
Why am I keeping my eyes closed when I look?
Because,
isn't that good enough reason?
Okay, I'll dare to really see the light of what is,
only if you will too,
as with life and change
our hearts so crave to have
yet fear to reach,
let's do it now,
you first!

hmm interesting take, the idea was well formulated and i enjoyed your perspective..the poem itself however didnt really stand out as much, the first and second stanza to be precise..however the ending was quite satisfying

But denial takes care of the problem till you hand it over to someone else. Deep and probably stupid, lol. This poem's cool though.

Thank you. Denial is good unless the other guy beats you to sticking you with the problem.
