Im Winter

Im Winter,
Die Tochter von Herbst,
Die Mutter von Frühling,
Wenn alles kalt ist,
Die Maus versteckt sich in ihrem Haus,
Kommen die Schneehasen heraus zu spielen,
Und alles macht Spaß, bis die Sonne fällt.

Roughly translated:

In Winter,
The daughter of Autumn,
The mother of Spring,
When all is cold,
The mouse hides in her house,
The snow hares come out to play,
An all is fun, untill the sun falls.

(It makes more sense in German methinks)

Author notes

I'm not the greatest at German so if I made a mistake I am sorry! This is also my first German poem so it's not great heehee.

The English version is good, Sometime a write in an other language loses it meaning when you translate it to English. But it’s good to try new things. Keep penning my friend. (Lisa)
