~o~
madam, oh madam!
would you care for a lemonade?
a smile and a straw as well?
well, how about that,
you've never met me
i don't know you
all you are,
yes all you are,
is another beautiful human being!
sir, you sir!
take this flask of ginger ale,
and never put whisky in your veins again
i might not clear your pains and passions,
but i can replace them with peace and patience
just a little bit of life,
just a miscible mix of thoughtfulness and strength
all you are,
yes all you are,
is another symmetric shadow on the street!
lad, dear lad!
might you let me mend your mind,
and open your eyes to the speed of the world?
look and listen,
but record and reminisce,
before the red carpet is pulled,
from underneath your untied shoes
fresh from the cradle,
you miss the hourglasses in our eyes,
don't lose your innocence, you!
write and divide,
solve and question,
don't jump without looking,
and hear with your heart,
oh, hear everything with your heart,
all you are,
yes all you are,
is another soaring sprout growing up high!
people, all people!
you're rushing all across the earth,
saving time and saving land,
planting flowers and seeds,
never smelling them as you pass,
never taking in the fullness of the color,
never savoring the scent
smile!
among the healthiest of diseases,
so contagious and clean
tomorrow's a brand new day
the same sun shines on our faces,
the same dirt covers our shoelaces
the same earth is our comfortable bed,
the same stars and satellites linger overhead
medically colorblind?
you might not see reds and greens,
so, tell me then,
what do you see?
what do you see?
a beautiful mixture of hues, i'll bet
racially colorblind?
you might not see black and white,
so, tell me then,
what do you see?
oh, what do you see?
a beautiful collaboration of people, i know
you! the one inside the mirror!
my reflection in the other dimension,
know i always wash myself with sunlight,
and my cactus drinks up all the rain,
i catch a cold and for that i'm grateful,
the coughing clears my lungs,
and reminds me what healthy is like
my love is blossoming and i keep it safe inside,
my sadness is stagnant but far away from my pride
oh, i want to go to the ends of the earth,
so i could start all over again,
and tell the world of the fanfare in my head,
once for fidelity,
once for honesty,
once for love,
once for understanding,
and a thousand times for faith
i'll circumnavigate our home,
and every thousand miles i'll laugh,
because a lack of cyberspace in the ocean,
never lets electronic mail be sent,
and i am so content!
i am so content!

Author notes
Because everything and everyone is beautiful, there should be a great fanfare to celebrate.
