The Media's Game

The World we call news, a world of controversy, a world of an ever shifting look on whats important. People die, who's on TV? Some pathetic celebrity getting off on all the publicity their acheiving from someone elses fault, someone elses pain, fears. What's important? Ratings, Shock Value, 32 dead from someone finally going over the edge and hurting those he felt hurt him, horrible, tragady, violence, senseless, what's on? Egotistical nonsense of newscasters, joking one minute and at each others throats for popularity the next. People dying in a war, a struggle for pride, where's the truth? Censored. Freedom of the press? A delusional concept. Running around in circles for a lead, searching for someone elses concerns all the while masking your own. Looking for someone elses problems, pain, sorrow, just so it can make the 10 O' Clock call. Loss makes a career, death and scandels, trust. At the end of the day it's just news to them. News of a loss, a dispair, important? Ask the media, to them it's just a game. To them it's just news.

How right you are on this topic. Not a poem written here, but it's cvertainly something that is so prevalent in the world today - the media can take a nothing event and blow it up to be the biggest thing going. And vice versa too. If they don't like someone, or something, they just don't write about it. End of story.

Gah, you've left me speechless again. I don't know what to say except, it's the truth. The world has turned into a popularity game.
