Mommy I miss you, I miss you when I was five and the world was alright
I didn’t know about the monsters that exist to torture you and rip out your
Eyes
Heart
Brain
And eat them with their rotting tongues
Their rotten tongues
They call my name but mommy
Mommy
Rescue me from their rotten tongues
Clap your hands over my ears and press my face to your stomach
Because mommy I don’t want to
See
Hear
Speak
Of the evil
Rotten tongues
Author notes
Rotten tongues never tasted so good...

eh
They must have some ripe breath -
I liked how this piece had a mature childlike voice. You used the fears of children but your desciptions were so much deeper.
