Rhythm Nation

The beat of the heart is the rhythm of the nation
A nation that believes, moves and grooves to the symmetry of the soul
It’s what makes us whole
Deeper than the darkest coal
Is the penetration of the rhythm of the nation

It moves without challenge
It moves without restraint
Free-flowing, knowing the destination
Isn’t as important as the epiphanic part of the journey

I don’t create the rhythm
The rhythm created me
I can’t stop the rhythm
The rhythm won’t let me

The beat of my heart is the rhythm of my nation
A nation that believes that it’s more than what my eye sees
Without it I don’t move, fail to groove, smooth becomes
A rough place

So I keep my face to the rhythm
Away from the eyes that seek to stop it
Away from my own reflection that desires
To move against it

For …
It is rhythm without rhetoric
It is melodic without madness
It is harmonic without hesistancy
It is soulful without surrender, yet
I sacrifice it all
To become one with the rhythm

    Nice groove you have there, i connected with it well. (=
    You did a splendid job with the word rhythm, reusing it so many times to good effect, i didn't even feel that you are overusing it.
    Nice way to put that a nation has its soul and we have to conform to its heart-song.

    Why would any want to turn away?

    Even those of us who can't dance can still enjoy the merriment, the rush, the power that music gives. I wish the rest of the world was this way but atleast we can escape to the world that music trasports us too even if only for a while.
