You call me a devil,
a saint of the dark,
a sinfully sexual heretic
with no heart.
So you lace my drink
and drag me to a church,
take your turns hitting me
until my blood mixes with the dirt.
You drag me up, slamming me,
and nail me to the door,
you then take turns adding your piss and spit
until my dignity is no more.
I wake with a throbbing head,
and wonder how you could do such a thing,
when you claim to follow a benevolent God,
who preaches acceptance and forgiving.
I have a heart, I am capable of emotions just like you
my heart is not dead nor is it cold,
so you can take me off your church door, put away your Bibles,
and start doing as you should be told.

Stupid god people (and i mean all of them x-tian, jew, muslim, fuck all your faiths).
So, true story, or someone elses experience?

it is sad, often you find those that say go by the good book and are fervently passionate about their beliefs to the point of insanity are the ones that will condemn you in a heartbeat, yet they preach love and kindness and forgiveness. a good poem.

A really powerful piece about narrow-minded bigots who pretend to be religious, when it couldn't be farther from the truth. Thanks for calling a spade a spade, because those kinds of people surely don't have hearts. Many people just like to hear sweet-sounding words, but the truth is often a bitter pill to swallow. Thanks for entering my contest, and best of luck with this very strong poem.

Religion is a concept of man, it is a place for men's aspirations and lies to be hidden and to grow under the guise of truth and belief. One's beliefs should never have to conform to some sanctioned religion, one's goodness is not for another man to decide, only for God.
Religions very rarely ever practice what they preach so in the end you have a bunch of sactimonious servants whose only religion is one of self promotion.
I enjoyed this piece very much, it is a true account of how some are accorded by religion, the treatment received could hardly be called Christian in any way shape or form. Great work, loved it hun

Some people, eh? I am both saddened that there are such people in this world that do such things, and gladdened that you have persevered through it all. Keep strong.

that is true
they are prejudice against those who are diffrent
they throw bibles at people
and now they nail them to doors???
they have issues and oyu are living proof that the god goers have more of a devil in them than most of those who dont do the church scene.
*high five*

Too familiar.
This piece brought too many sorrows of my past back. How ruthless can programmed disciples be? Only those who have first-hand expierience can say.
Very powerful, almost too powerful for comfort. -
This is burning truth. A close look at the hypocrisy that surrounds us all. Just wanting to reach out and choke our individuality. FUCK THAT!!!! I love you.
Be free and be blessed,
