He said he loved me
but now I really see
It was him who hurt me
but how could that be
He said it was a dumb mistake
but I realize what he says is fake
He says that I should stay
that he would change his ways
I know what he says is a lie
but it's so hard to tell him goodbye
I thought he loved me but now I know
he'd just as well throw me out in the cold
All his lies
they made me cry
I admit that I had thoughts
but they were all his fault
I knew it would happen
that he would cheat
but now all I have to do is leave
Leave him like he left me
at the time I was in the most need
Now all these thoughts that run in my head
but I haven't missed him yet
I'm glad he's gone
so I can sing my songs
songs about freedom and how I don't need him
He said he loved me
but how could that be
the truth lies within
something he couldn't see
